So I’m starting a blog

It’s really been sometime since I’ve ever really written anything, even a real paragraph, clearly I stopped writing for fun as I started working as a software developer — my family needs to eat. The time to write something with emotional draw is just not there in the everyday life of a developer, and honestly, if I read a comment within my source code without the only emotion being that of humor, then it’d most likely be a comment talking about how clunky and stupid the code has become — like writing in different tenses.

It is my dream to write short stories. I am always trying to finish this one story in particular about a family of cats living in Sichuan, China. I love that story. This story about cats is going to be amazing, I assure you. Like all my other great stories, which have yet to be written, this story has taken a back seat to life. I am an okay developer, not a great developer, and therefore I work very hard to stay relevant at the company.

I do have hope. I see the sun coming through the clouds, as I write this little paragraph. It has been a whole month now, and I have, in this time, learned a thing or two about time management. As such, my use of the 12 week year and it’s implementation has really given me the tools and confidence to try writing again as a past time.

Are you are into time management, fitness, and code? I am in love with all three and more. It also happens to be summertime here in the nothern hemisphere and I always do better in all three subjects when the weather is better. The warmer weather lifts my spirits immensely, and I do believe I can start pouring my mind onto medium, and perhaps entertain a few folks discussing my insights, achievements, and failures from my self study routines.

I am humble in my musings about each of these topics, but I am very interested in all of them. They are all now habits of mine, to study time management, fitness, and code. Each month I introduce more habits and you, my dear reader, are experiencing one that I am introducing for the month of June. I will learn three things about blogging — how often to post, what is easiest for me to write about, and how does it feel to consistently publish for one month. After June, I’ll look to see what changes I can make as a writer to do better as a blogger here on medium.

be on the look out for upcoming posts, my dear reader.
